Ethnobiological notes
Grizzly bears are larger than black bears, reaching 1,100 pounds in weight. In addition, they range in color from cream to brown to black, often with white-tipped hairs giving them a grizzled appearance. They are found in coastal inlets along the British Columbian coast.
