Skunks are members of the same animal family as the weasels, mink, and marten. The spotted skunk is a small black and white mammal, with stripes, spots and other irregular white markings on its body. Striped skunks have distinctive white stripes on their backs. Both types of skunks produce a strong-smelling spray from glands on their body.
